Budget Committee

Responsibilities 

The Budget Committee reviews and makes recommendations on the annual operating budget as proposed by the municipal officers (town manager); on annual capital expenditures as proposed by the municipal officers (town manager); and reviews the Town’s quarterly financial performance to budget.  The Committee’s authority is advisory only. 

Committee members serve terms of three years and are appointed by the Select Board. 

Budget Committee policy adopted by the Town at the Town Meeting on August 15, 2023.

Meetings  

Routine meetings are quarterly and scheduled on an ad hoc basis. More frequent meetings and workshops are held during the development of the annual town budget.
